About us

ASEAC is an international organization founded within the Amsterdam-based Stichting USED-Amsterdam-Social Enterprise Agency, aiming for individual and community development. Our mission is to build an inclusive society through education, innovation, and social entrepreneurship, creating a bridge from the Caribbean to Europe.

With our experienced team in both local and international projects, we operate on the principle of "leaving no one behind."

WHY US?
We are not just an educational institution; we are a Social Entrepreneurship Agency. * We are inclusive: We advocate for the social and economic independence of individuals with hearing, speech, and mild disabilities.

We are innovative: We integrate technology and art into our social projects, going beyond traditional methods.

We build bridges: We bring together the academic discipline of Amsterdam with the cultural richness of the Caribbean.

OUR MAIN ACTIVITY
We build our methodology on the 6 core pillars of our Amsterdam center, adapting it to the local dynamics of Curaçao:

1. Academic and Professional Development: We offer lifelong learning models to maximize individuals' potential. We organize career planning, vocational training, and non-formal education programs, especially for disadvantaged groups, individuals with disabilities, and refugee youth.

2. Digital Competence and Innovation: We make the requirements of the digital age accessible to everyone. We use our coding, web development, and digital design training as a tool to increase the employability of individuals who cannot participate in the workforce due to physical or social barriers.

3. Holistic Well-being (Mental Well-Being): We believe that social integration is not just about finding a job. To support the mental and emotional health of individuals, we conduct art therapy, nature-based therapies (agrotherapy), and psychosocial support programs.

4. Creative Expression and Intercultural Dialogue: We harness the healing and unifying power of art. By bringing together individuals from different nationalities in cultural evenings, conferences, and art workshops, we break down prejudices between refugees and locals and strengthen social cohesion.

5. Research and Feasibility (Impact Focus): We support the sustainability of our projects with scientific data. Using data analysis and reporting methods, we measure and transparently share our impact on society in critical areas such as the employment of disabled individuals and the integration of migrants.

6. Global Cooperation and Mobility: We establish international networks within the framework of European Union values and education programs (Erasmus+, etc.). We offer our youth and target audience the opportunity to learn about different cultures and gain global citizenship skills through cross-border mobility projects.
